Just my thoughts.Īccess has basically dominated in an unchallenged high-end digital synth market. Why would you outsource that kind of a thing in this day and age? Obviously Dave wasn't targeting the analog-purists with this synth, so if you're gonna do it, do it right. DSI needs to get it together and if you're going to put out something like this, and want to compete with Access, make some damn software that adds to the functionality.

Also, the TI2's computer integration is a big deal for those of us that have a Mac/PC as the center of our setup. I own DSI stuff, and the Curtis filter is the weak spot, IMO. They are surprisingly similar (enough that you can compare them), cost the same, and if you ask me, Dave Smith is no dummy having been sunk by digital in the past, so he decided to make a DSI "Virus".

I have neither, but am surprised when people get real excited (offended), when you compare the P12 to a Virus. I want to know what evidence there is that the Sharc DSP waveforms in the P12 are better than the Virus? Seriously.
